A 50/50 blend of Kona and Gesha lot 10. It was the last of the Kona.
The sum of the parts is not greater than the two on this blend. It is
simply a good cup of coffee. I hate to waste coffee.

Yeah, I've done the same thing in the past and tend to agree. The Gesha
tends to over power the subtle nuances of a Kona.

Don't rub our noses in it, Bruce! :-) It's a typical, November, on-and-off
drizzly, windy day here in the Willamette Valley. It's a warm wind though,
so still ok for the bike ride in - I managed to dodge the cloudbursts.
I'm drinking the Ethopia Org DP Dale Yirga Alem. Nice, muted fruit with
some sage-y chocolate thrown in.
Best,
Kris

I had my first blueberry blast with the new crop of Idido Misty Valley.
Wow, that's blueberries, allright. I like this stuff. Got a 5-pounder
becuase I had heard so much about the IMV. Glad I did.
I agree with your description of the Ethopia Org DP Dale Yirga Alem. I've
got some of that roasted up as well, and I have been enjoying it.

Just got back from a bike ride down the Coast Highway. I expect to move back
to Minnesota in the next couple months so I won't have that much longer to
rub it in. It will be back to crisp, clear days and ice skating on frozen
ponds under brilliant blue November skies.
Second sampling of the day is IMV that was roasted yesterday. Lot of citrusy
notes to it right now. I expect the rest of the fruit to develop over the
coming days.
If I had had the Yirga Alem on hand, that is what I'd be drinking too.

I am roasting some IVM Mento tonight. I have been off the blueberry
kick for awhile, and am looking forward to some good Ethiopian coffee
again. By the way, Bruce I have always said, Minnesota was a great
place to be from. (formerly from Fergus Falls, Minneapolis, Fosston,
Hutchinson, and Arden Hills.)
