Topic: Aeropress novice / IR2 behavior (20 lines)
1) From: John Carlson
1 ) All, I've been experimenting with my new Aeropress for a couple of weeks and think I've got it right where I want it. The resulting brew is very strong, almost syrupy, with incredible flavor and no bitterness. Like a really mellow espresso. Where has this thing been all my life?

Any similar experiences?

2) I have noticed during my last couple roasts that my IR rapidly speeds up and slows down during the final roast phase. I've been using it about 3 months and never noticed this before. My back porch is getting a little cooler, about 50F or so, might that produce this type of operation? Roasts are fine but the changing speed makes it a little difficult to listen for the proper point at which to kill the cycle.

Is this typical?

Thanks,
John
