Topic: {Spam?} Coffee at Disney World (26 lines)
1) From: Coffee
Just got back from a week at Disney World. Everywhere they serve
Nescafe from those instant mix machines. Seems to be hot water mixed
with a coffee concentrate. Truly terrible stuff. Some places have the
large drip pots, but it tastes like they just brew a ground rather
than an instant version of Nescafe. The Kona Cafe at the Polynesian
Hotel has a walk-up counter where you can get coffee and pastries. But
here they only serve a Kona blend and unfortunately, it kind-of tastes
like the Kona is blended with Nescafe (shudder). In the restaurant
itself you can get a french press of 100% Kona. While this was by far
the best coffee I had during my stay, it had very little "Kona"
character, but it was a decent cup of coffee. I tried a couple of
espressos from different carts around Disney World with mixed results.
Mostly bitter and burnt.
I brought along an AP with some Costa Rica Brumas Dry-Process, so I
wasn't completely without good coffee.
