What a lazy Sunday. We have much new snow in MI and church was canceled
today. It is a great day for old movies and a big pot of chili. After my
kids came in from playing in the snow I made a big pot of hot cocoa on the
stove, my wife and my youngest had straight cocoa with mini marshmallows.
The oldest two and I enjoyed our cocoa and mini marshmallows with a shot of
espresso (50% Malabar 50% Colombian both to full city) the purists will
surely scoff at wasting espresso in hot cocoa but it has made for an all
around good day here.
Now if the redskins can just win.....

Sounds pretty good to me! We are snowed in too, in Portland OR. Just came i=
n from shoveling...and playing...and cocoa and espresso is next. Thanks for=
the idea. This morning's cup was Dale Yirga Alem brewed in the old Silex v=
ac pot.

Made two big pots--a Technivorm drip of Harar Horse, and a pot of old-
fashioned Irish oatmeal from steel-cut oats (with brown sugar, maple
syrup and Kerrygold butter). We had a balmy high of 5F, and three
inches of snow overnight (with howling winds that are only now
subsiding). A good night to fry latkes, light the menorah, and stay
inside!

You are in Portland, OR and I am in Portland, MI Huge population difference
I can imagine as we have just over 3,000 people

The Portland, Oregon, storm is headed our way. Shoveling out in Skull
Valley to start in the morning. Population is lower than the two Portlands,
about 25 people in the entire valley.
Ethiopian organic Sidamo via press pot this afternoon and again in the
morning. Nice way to end or start a day in the west desert of Utah.
