I grind w a Solis maestro plus that I keep very clean.  I run dry rice
through it on fine then take it apart and wash the plastic parts and clean
the grinding area each time I roast.  it takes about 1/2 of my roasting time
up.
I make the espresso on the Rancilio I got a SM. I clean than about every 3
Months w the solution but clean the delivery area w a brush and flush w hot
water into the SM cup each serving to both heat the cup up and bring the
Rancilio right up to temp for each shot.
this blend I mentioned seems to loose its crema quicker than others, which
is why I asked.  the taste was very good, but a little 'rougher' than SM
Classic which is the standard I compare to as most people must have tried
it.
an aside question is how do people reply to posts 'before' they appear on
the daily list I get?
