Just like the last one, no compliling. I have: Mastiff mix, he'll swirl beans around until they fall out of his gaping maw. A Terrier mutt that loves beans, she catches 'em on the fly. A Lab/Retriever mix (all black with feathers) puppy that's ga-ga for 'em, but his tracking skills are lacking. You should see me, threshing hot beans with a gaggle of dogs auto-arranged by height L - R, smallest to biggest. -Hound, who takes his entertainment where he can get it, apparentlyhomeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
The caffeine doesn't show any sign of problems for them? I have heard that dogs can't metabolize caffeine, onions or chocolate. I am fairly sure about the chocolate, sort of sure on the caffeine and the onions. Maybe they are all old wives (husbands) tales. Regards, Ed Needham ed |

My two year old German Shepherd Dog once grabbed a green coffee bean that I had just shelled and she swallowed it and showed no reaction at all. However she is boisterous enough so I do not want to tempt fate by doing any experiments with too many coffee beans. She loves cat nip and steals our two cats cat nip toys all the time. <Snip> Something to remember is the reason that coffee beans are natural laxatives - it's so animals that eat the berries will scatter the seeds. If you dog eats a lot of coffee beans, not only might it get a bit hyper, but things could get messy too! :-P -g homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
And besides they already have one more coffee than necessary processed through an animal! |
