And to think I just bought the Induction Heat model. It is currently cooking
in the kitchen with a batch of mixed brown rice for dinner. I am sure the
pressurized model will have to wait a long while before I upgrade. So far, I
really don't see the $$$ difference between my old fuzzy logic and the new
induction heat model.
I also just finished roasting the rest of my Costa Rican COE coffee, so in a
few days I'm sure it will be excellent. I have been looking for the
2008/2009 Kona offerings. I believe this is about the time of the year they
should be popping onto the list.

Subject: [Homeroast] OT Zojirushi's new rice cooker
There has been a fair amount of interest on this list on Zojirushi products,
including rice cookers. A new, pressurized rice cooker has been or is about
to be released. It's quite a lot more expensive than other models. That
probably is because it is a pressure cooker that achieves higher pressure at
lower temps with a pump. There is more info here:http://techon.nikkeibp.co.jp/english/NEWS_EN/20070830/138516/Brian

We ran across a tea shop here in KC - the owner is the owner of a tea
farm in China and alternates between there and here. I noticed they
were selling Zojirushi hot water pots so we bought one. The
ever-indulgent wife *loves* it! Fill it in the morning before we
leave for work, set the timer so it starts heating around the time we
leave work and she's got good hot water for tea (or whatever) all
evening. They also sell some nifty tea makers - basically a tumbler
with a filter top. Since Tom doesn't sell tea I'll go ahead and
mentionhttp://www.shangtea.comA Zojirushi rice cooker is on my 'keep an eye out for' list. We've
got two (3?) rice cookers already and we don't even have rice very
often but if we had a really good one...
Kind of like coffee gadgets. Sure, we don't *currently* make coffee
this way but if we just had a....
