Topic: blending for moka or french press (3 msgs / 62 lines)
1) From: micah milano
I have been reading with interest the SM blending basics page:http://www.sweetmarias.com/blending.htmlAnd see that there are two sections with recommendations for espresso
and drip blends. However, I am looking to blend for a moka and for a
french press. Would those
still be espresso and drip relatively? Or should I consider other
elements when blending for these particular brewing methods?
Thanks for your astute advice!

I use Sweet Maria's Monkey blend for everything -- drip, moka, espresso, FP
and Aeropress. As a matter of fact, my wife has fallen so deeply in love
with the Monkey Blend that, although I'm welcome to roast other beans, she
really prefers that I have some of it available at all times :-)
I think (but I can't remember off the top of my head) that the Puro Scuro
might have been originally intended to cross the espresso/drip barrier.
