Topic: NYC Coffee House Reviews (43 lines)
1) From: Peter Genuardi
Hi Folks -
A few months ago there was some good discussion of coffeehouses in New York
City that were good for coffee nuts (read, people who appreciate high
quality, direct trade coffees).
Based on the input from others (thanks folks!) I planned a route for my trip
last week and have posted directions, pics, reviews, and links to coffees in
case you're interested.
Got to try some awesome coffees, esp a Rwandan from Intelligentsia at Cafe
Grumpy in the Clover and a good Colombian direct trade from Gimme! Coffee.
Anyhow, hope these links are helpful.
NYC Coffee Tour:http://snipurl.com/ahgdyIn between meetings for work, I managed to hit four coffee houses in two
days. Some twice.
Cafe Grumpy:http://snipurl.com/acl7lGreat coffee, great preparation, but I was surprised they weren't too
excited to "educate." Great coffees for sure. Novo, Intelligentsia, and
Verve on the menu this month.
Ninth Street Espresso:http://snipurl.com/ahc72I had the best latte I've ever had here. They're serving Stumptown coffees
exclusively.
GimmeCoffee:http://snipurl.com/ahglfThese guys were amazingly friendly. Invited me to join them for cupping of
some of their coffees and a bevy of others.
Everyman Espresso:http://snipurl.com/aevr3Small spot, with good service. They serve Counter Culture coffee and
espresso only.
