Does anyone have any iR2 profile suggestions to bring out the fruitiness in
the "Black Sun" or any of the Dry Processed Ethiopians
Thanks
Jim

For the IMV, I go as light and long as I can.
I'm still seeking the fruit in the Bonko Black Sun. I think I may
have gone a little too far with the heat gun; may try a batch in the
iRoast and see how light I can go.

Try this with your iR2 and let me know how it turns out I just found the
profile that I adapted to an iR2. It was from a Gene Cafe. Initial results
smell promising.
320-3:00
350-3:00
400-405-3:00
rest of time at max (480???? isn't it)
Ride the roast and kill it by hitting cool at any time you are ready after
stage4 starts.
dont know how to go about recreating it exactly cause I noticed that the top
of my iR2 wasnt on right and the only thing keeping it on the roaster was
the lil wire thingy in the chaff collector at the front. (not sure how much
effect the extra airflow will have made.......
gonna try it later with the top on solid and see how different it works out.

 Time Temp 4min 350 2min 400 6min
440
Obviously, you will not run the entire profile, hit cool at City/City+
(midst of First crack), typically with about 4 minutes to go.

discovered the best way to find fruit........
use the half cup batch size listen for beginning of first crack (full first
crack, not the coupla outliers)
see which works best for you, hitting cool as soon as you hear 1st C, 20-30
seconds in, or letting it run all the way till they stop popping.
But, the elusive "fruiting" profile I have been hunting for on my iR2 is
Pre1.......LoL!!!
it works with just a bit of "muting" of fruit and accent of bakers
unsweetened chocolate......
does the profile you are passin on start with 440 at 4 minutes? then drop
temp for a couple and then raise it.
