Topic: OT - Sandy' stove (2 msgs / 38 lines)

Sandy,
This company sells overstock and display model high end appliances. They have good prices. I found my Dacor through a company that is now a part of them. They have listings around the country, but my stove was about 5 miles from where I was living. http://www.appliancedeals.com/
I did some research and it appears that Dacor has dropped the Preference line for free standing stoves. (sorry to mislead) You still may be able to find one as NOS. They still make cooktops in the Preference line, just not complete stoves. They still make the Millennia line, but those are all electric and you said you wanted dual fuel or gas.
BTW - I am glad you are enjoying my D'OH blend.

Overstock and discounted models are GOOD... that's how I got mine years ago.
When we remodeled our kitchen (when I owned my own home..), we put in a gas
cooktop (added electric double ovens), the brand which has escaped my
memory. We were able to find great deals on both appliances at a local store
that sold mostly display models.
Good luck with your search (my motto is *never* pay retail!!)
