Topic: whatcha roasting? What's resting? (3 msgs / 60 lines)
1) From: Bill
Hello all, happy Saturday!
I am going on a much-deserved vacation for a few days this week. Have a
friend who has a cabin in the mountains, and will hole up there for a few
days of rest and relaxation. and coffee, but that goes without saying.
So last night I roasted some Ethiopian WP Kebado, Costa Rican RIP, and an
Ethiopian decaf. The night before I roasted some Ethiopian DP Kembata.
My real question for myself is whether or not I need to roast one more batch
of coffee... I *only* have 2 pounds of regular, 3/4 of decaf... better safe
than sorry, I say!
So, what are you roasting? What are you resting?
hope you all have a great week!

Happy Saturday morning All!
I roasted a 1/2 pound of Mexican Organic Nayarit DP to Vienna night before
last. It should be nice and rested by tomorrow morning, which is good
because I used the last of the French Roast this morning :-)

Well.... Roasting/Resting/Drinking has all run together this morning. I'm
drinking some Horse at FC that has "rested" for perhaps 3 minutes or so.
Tremendous bloom, but tameable with a spoon. Just kept knocking those
floating grounds back down into the puddle. It will be interesting to see
how the tastes evolve over the next few days. This morning, it's full of
seemingly volatile and aromatic flavors that generally go to sleep with some
rest.
Ahhhh.... >This< is why we do this.
