USPS just arrived with a couple of goodies for me, one of which was a
18g ridgeless basket. I was so happy it fit in my gaggia portafilter
w/o going naked, which I plan to do anyway at some time. I adjusted
rocky up 1 notch loaded up some Brazil Carmo de Minas - Fazenda do
Serrado, I got a pretty decent ristretto, one more notch and WOW!!! I
haven't had anything like that from my gaggia new baby. I pulled a
couple of shots this morning with the stock basket and they were
rather unimpressive. looks like I will be going through even more

roasted to FC+/Vienna
Various ethiopians and kenyans roasted to FC just at the verge of 2nd
2 batches pre roast blended then post roast blended, does that make
sense? I'm kinda wired right now.
Initial cupping as soon as the beans were cool suggested I have a
winner never to be repeated.
If coffee is good w/o rest can flavors change unfavorably with a
traditional rest period? I probably won't be able to keep this in rest
mode for 3-5 days.
