Haven't tried them, but they talk a good game. Have had two Zasses, both
so unsatisfactory that I have been wondering whether or not SM shouldn't
offer an alternative. --

Hi John,
I understand Zass used to be very good but lately quality has slipped and p=
lastic is being used in the wrong places which is the very reason I was loo=
king at a refurbished older grinder.

The problem is that there are no alternatives to the Zass, new. The
old mounts for the burrs were much better. There are a couple
modifications I've seen to stabilize the burrs on the newer ones.

I have an OrphanEspresso reconditioned grinder for espresso and it is
awesome! It was the second part of my new travel kit I am building
with my La Peppina. Next up on the build is a PID to control the tank
temperature and a travel box.
