Topic: "Rough" coffee day... (5 msgs / 179 lines)
1) From: miKe mcKoffee
Got up at 6:30 and started another "rough" coffee day, pulled myself a
Panama Esmeralda Gesha wakeup Americano:-) Then off to do some grocery
shopping before heading into the cafe. Spot checked Ben's work with my
Delirium Blend with a right nice doppio. (Ben opened today) 'Round 11am
checked on the SO grinder, needed a bit-o-tweaking. Tightened the grind a
hair, reduced dose 0.5gr to 16.5gr and lengthened shot time to 30sec for 2oz
doppio and man the Rwanda Gkongoro Nyarusiza doppio sang sweetly of milk
chocolate, orange peel, allspice and a touch of cloves in a buttery smooth
killer shot. Now 'that's' why I bought 60# that stuff to roast for the cafe!
Late afternoon before closing pulled myself another smooth and lively
Delirium doppio before finally getting out of there 6:30. Now home typing
while drinking an after dinner Americano of Idido Misty Valley.
Unfortunately from my last roast of the last of my IMV greens. May order
another 20 or 60# from Tom. If I can will immediately vac and freeze the
greens to stretch it out until next crop instead of always having it on the
retail shelf. Much longer without extreme storage and the 08 crop IMV is
gonna die. But the prospect of no more Misty Valley for 6 months just
doesn't cut it!
Indeed, another "rough" coffee day.

What was I thinking last night! Got up yesterday at 5:30 not 6:30 and out
the door 'bout 6:30. Today's Saturday and slept in 'til 6:30...
Note: this post is actually a lame "List Test" rather than another actual
"List Test" post...
Yes there will be an extensive multi-part test:-)
PS Today's another 'rough' coffee day starting off with a smooth rich Aloha
Hills Kona Americano...
PSPS Possibly inappropriately mentioned since not "home roasted" but rather
Nor'West Coffee Roastery USRC 3k roasted...
PSPSPS Then again I spend much Much MUCH more time at my Café and/or
Roastery than I do at 'home' so might be considered my defacto 'homes'...
PSPSPSPS But Debi wants me to stay at actual 'home' tomorrow spending some
time with and doing yard work with her...
PSPSPSPSPS Yes I seem to be getting carried away with PS's...
PSPSPSPSPSPS Get over it!
PSPSPSPSPSPSPS Or not, you choice...
PSPSPSPSPSPSPSPS And remember, there will be a Test.

Well, I HAVE had a "rough" coffee day of sorts. Started the day with
some CoE Rwanda at home (the real home, not the shop). I have business
in a nearby city, ~2 hour drive.
Obviously, a C/C+ roasted Rwanda is not a bad start... so, the truly
rough part came when I found that my friend in Macon I'm here to visit
is out of home roast and I didn't bring any ... it's mid-afternoon and
time for a cup ... this town is pretty much a coffee wasteland.... I'm
getting a bit nervous... Just down the road a bit is a *$ ... next
door is a Dunkin' D .... Oh, p00p...
What to do????
cheers,
Scott

It was a rough coffee weekend.
Ran out of coffee, then discovered mint tea remnants in the water
kettle while making AP coffee Sun.
Highs in the 90s, and pulled an all-nighter working on a report Fri.
Now, I've got some Rwanda so I'm good at least through Thurs.
