Topic: Nice shot! (30 lines)
1) From: Allon Stern
So, I had a little extra monkey in the grinder, and the tails of some
IMV in a bag, plus a fresh bag of Guatemala Fraijanes just roasted
yesterday....
Anyway, I composed a shot of ROUGHLY 1/3 each
Espresso Monkey, roasted by heat gun, 9 days rest
IMV, roasted by Nesco to about C++, 9 days rest
Guatemala Fraijanes, roasted by Nesco to about C++/FC-, half day rest
slightly updosed, and strong tamp, since I find the lighter roasts
need that.
Wow, I got some hints of chocolate stout. Very smooth; the shot of
Monkey I had earlier was good, but a bit edgier; this shot was very
velvety. Thick crema (no doubt the fresh guat in there), not a ton of
body, hints of maltiness, bitter orange, chocolate.
Okay, I have to do this again...one moment....
oh yeah, 2nd verse, same as the first =8-D
