Topic: Out of the ashes ... Hot Top (2 msgs / 39 lines)
1) From: Jim Wilkins
I could wait no longer, I ordered a new Hot Top (model B) from Sweet Maria's
last night. I managed to delay the purchase a whole 4 days. My
compromise-with-self was to get the 'slow boat to China' UPS shipping
instead of the 'GET IT HERE NOW' shipping. My wife was less than thrilled
with my patience until I reminded her that she was almost out of her
favorite morning coffee - Yirgacheffe. When threatened with a supply
problem, nothing focuses the attention of a coffee-junkie more than facing a
morning without their brew.

Did you talk to the Hottop customer service about repairing your old unit?
They may have offered some sort of deal on repair or replacement. Even
though you bought a new one, I would still talk to them about it. You have
nothing to lose and everything to gain. They are usually very good to work
with.
