Topic: Coffee Flask? (3 msgs / 48 lines)
1) From: Yakster
I found this flask
with
a nice handle at the thrift store that I was thinking would make a
homemade passable vacuum or balance brewer.
Anyone recognize this glass? It seems to look familiar to me. Any good
ideas? I think I saw an article on Make Magazine on making a balance or
siphon brewer here .
Any info on this glass or advise appreciated. I picked it up for less then
a dollar after a 25% discount.

It's small, maybe 12 - 14 oz so it'd just do for the wife and I.

Looks similar to something my mom had from the 50's or 60's. She used
it to serve hot water for tea. There was probably a stopper when it
was new., I think hers was cork with a black knob but that's really
stretching my memory.
