Yeah, me too. I know what is really meant, but when someone talks about
getting a POS cash register, I always want to ask them why they don't get a
good one.
BTW - when miKe was talking about using a POS grinder at someone else's
cafe, I don't think he meant point of sale.

When a friend of mine was stationed on an aircraft carrier, the Chief who
ran the electronics shop, had a room where put broken equipment. It had a
big sign that said NFG. A Lt. tried to give him a hard time about the use
of bad language and with a perfectly straight face, the Chief said that he
did not know what the Lt. thought it meant, but NFG stood for
"Non-Functional Gear." Of course that was pure BS. (Bovine Scat)

In the computer trade, we always said RTFM in answer to stupid questions
with obvious answers. When asked, I always said it stood for "Read the
Manual." I haven't been there yet when somebody didn't speculate out loud
about the extra letter.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
