Ridiculously consistent in a good way. Started this afternoon's roast
session with three 8LB batches of my D'Spro Espresso blend, this one's a
pre-roast blend. My USRC 3k PLC automated profile target 17min.
(Automatically ends and dumps by bean mass temp, unless I override and go
manual of course.) First batch 17:05, second batch 17:05, third batch way
off 17:08:-) Going on 2 years with this little puppy and still love and
impressed by it... Quite impressed by the cup results too of course.
Typed after charging 8 pounder number 5 of 5 for a "batch" of Delirium
Espresso Blend, a post-roast blend. That'll be it for this afternoon. Just a
quick 64LB's roasted. And bags labeled, beans weighed, bags filled...

Tom,
I thought you would be able to speak "Kona miKe" by now. I admit it took me
a few months to get it down. I wanted to say something to him at first but
then I realized this was and is a very special list of folks here and miKe
M. is high on the list. It's a privilege to be here with all of you with all
of your special skills. <];^) Reminds me of the days of learning Pig Latin.
Kind of a miKe Latin. This is a very fun list.

Agreed on the list, I enjoy the posts.
I may be a geek at heart, but I didn't really notice anything unusual with
miKe's post. I enjoyed it and it made me wish I was there roasting with
him.
I did two roasts and a cleaning cycle last night on the Behmor but I can't
say I got into a groove like it sounds like miKe did. I managed to try to
glue together a crack in my boat's rudder during all this.
So, JoeR, if it took you a few months to get miKe Latin down, how long does
it take to speak RaymanOwen Latin, or is it Double Dutch? :-)
I really enjoy the posts, but I can't say I understand them all.
-Chris
p.s. If you enjoy codes, skip Dan Brown's "Digital Fortress" as the ending
is telegraphed from the very start and the tech is just ridiculous.

Chris,
I'm still working on RayO's "Double Dutch" each post is a new lesson for me.
I don't always get it but I sure have fun reading his take on anything
coffee. I am wondering if I spend enough time here will I learn to speak or
write in their fashion. I believe you need to be on a level of geekdom that
I can only aspire to. Learning and developing coffee roasting skills is
challenging enough.
