Just a quick heads up for all you Behmor users out there. I was watching my roast yesterday and when the cooling cycle began I noticed the vent door under the heating elements wasn't opening properly. I remembered from previous roasts that it should open all the way, but this time it was opened only a crack, if at all.
Later I ran a cooling cycle with the door open and no drum or chaff collector. It was definitely sticking. Once I flicked the door open, it would stay that way and the air flowed freely. I cleaned the lip that the door rests upon as well as the inside of the door with Simple Green and things seem to be back to normal working order. It was pretty dirty. I religiously clean the inside with Simple Green after every 5 roasts and then run a cleaning cycle (I've done 140 roasts thus far). I think I need to add that spot to the list.
I had noticed my beans being warmer than I remembered after cooling, and I suspect this is why. Going to roast again tonight to confirm the fix. Just something to look out for.

Good tip.
There's a very long fan behind that vent (opened the back for a
supercleaning once) that's the shape of the long protrusion on the back of
the Behmor that probably blows out that flap.
I haven't noticed it sticking, yet, but I'll make sure it doesn't get too
dirty.

Great catch ( as they say in Nursing ), ;-)
the area that you are referencing, is this the small opening, a flap -
if you will, in the back panel of roaster, and just below the heating rods?
Many thanks
