drops of water that drips from the rear of the roaster on the bottom, just
under the fan blower.???????
The couple drops of water has been common for me since I purchased one of
the original Hottops from Tom shortly after SM started selling them. When
you are driving almost an ounce of water from 9 ounces of beans during the
roast, that is significant. I always remove the chaff tray, the removable
door where you pour the beans into the roaster, and the air filter after
each roast and let everything dry out until my next roast.
Since I started doing that several years ago the moisture has not been a
problem. Before that the filter would sometimes stay damp and when the
airflow was restricted due to the moisture, the beans sometimes dumped in
the middle of the roast.
Hope that helps,
Terry
