Topic: OT: New use for 20# burlap bag blue draw cords (2 msgs / 68 lines)
1) From: miKe mcKoffee
Working on extending a couple 20A circuits. Tapping two, one each for two
socket pairs in same double gang box. Need low on the wall plug below left
of 4grp Linea counter to feed power to the front counters for an
undercounter fridge, undercounter freezer, deli display fridge, water tower,
pourover station grinder, cash register etc. Was fighting getting a
3x12gauge fed down through the wall from above the ceiling or pushed up from
below. Kept getting hung up from either direction before getting to the 2nd
respective hole. Duh, fish a line first. But with what! Looked around in the
pile of empty full size burlap bags was a bunch of 20's from Tom. Pull the
blue cords out of a bunch of 'em and tied 'em together. Tied on a weight and
fed it from above. It quit going down and I was afraid some idiot had put a
cripple in the wall! But nope, it had hit bottom floor level. All is good.
Now to affix the two 12g wire sets and pull 'em on up. This SHOULD be the
last wiring that needs to be done before opening. Put in the drop lights for
over the Linea and pourover station yesterday. Wait, haven't put in the
track for spots in the bar area yet but that aren't a necessity so may not
make it before the Grand Opening Party...
Switching from electrician to plumber anyone ever plumbed in a grease
trap/interceptor to triple bowl dish sink? Me neither, but since it arrived
today that's on tomorrow or Sunday's agenda anyway!
Plus get (need) to roast a dozen or so batches this weekend....
Back to work....

miKe,
Oh, how I remember a year and a half ago miKe. Wiring was favorite part.
Plumbing I did because my plumber / friend decided he would rather be
fishing. Last time I ask him for plumbing help when I needed to open in a
month. Glad to hear all is moving in the right direction. I do expect some
godly shots come opening new years day. First one from you then one from
Bry. I can see it now a god shot throw down.I would bring some spro blend
but mine is not yet in your class. But what the hey, maybe you and your
braista skills can make um sing. <];^)
I can't wait. I'll bring my score placards.
