I've tried 4 times to pull a 9oz double in under 30 sec, failing each time.
(Wanting to keep the pull under 9oz to keep from getting bitter I believe.)
Each time grinding a bit coarser and or tamping even lighter. So, I pulled a
"no load" 9oz shot. (no grounds) 24 seconds to pump 9oz through portafilter
with empty 2 shot basket. Did it again, same time. Somehow I don't think
it's possible with espresso grind and any but the lightest tamp. More will
be revealed...
I am getting Great Double Shot 6oz ish Strong Cafe' Cremas though! Just had
an Australian, followed by a Panama Finca Maunier, followed by a Kona
Mountain Estate Kona. (All split with Debi so really only singles each
time.) All wonderful in their own right and each different. Unfortunately me
thinks that's it for this evening... maybe one more...
