Topic: Swiss Gold one cup (3 msgs / 72 lines)
1) From: Lee B.
What's the 'formula' for using the Swiss Gold one cup?
- Do you folks use the dripper thing? It seems to touch the=
 coffee and
block the water drip for me... works if I lift it up a bit. I'm=
 using more
than one level scoop of coffee.
- How much coffee for a 12oz mug?
- Apologies as I know this was recently discussed.
Thanks!

I use approximately 4 tablespoons of coffee for a 10-12 oz. mug.
I first wet the coffee with approx 2 oz of water just off boil,
then add the dripper and the rest of the water about 30 secs after.

I usually use 11 grams for a 10.5 ounce cup. More coffee than that=
significantly slows the drip process and I prefer 3 minutes or less. I=
will lift the dripper if it is dripping too slow. (11 grams of vienna=
roast takes up more room than 11 grams of city roast). The Swiss gold=
drip time is very sensitive to quantity of coffee.
I prewet the gold filter so the grounds expand immediately upon impact=
 giving even less sludge.
I then insert the dripper, wet with a little water wait about 10 seconds=
and then fill the dripper. Only if I'm using 12 grams is it necessary to=
 raise the dripper.
