I happily scored a 6 cup Chemex yesterday at the thrift store that I'm
thinking of taking to work.http://twitpic.com/2y8ggmI've already got a CCD, AeroPress, Kyocera hand grinder, SS pitcher, and
MyPressi Twist setup at work, and I'm already known as the coffee guy (nut)
at work. Unfortunately, I don't work in the coffee industry.
What would you do? The Chemex would make it easier to share and is quick to
clean up, but might push me to bring in my electric kettle, yet another
gadget.
Have I gone too far?

Too far? What is too far anyway? Is there such a thing? If you have to ask
the answer is no:)

That wood collar looks to be in nice shape. Good score!
Chemex is still a favorite brew method for me... along with
traditional drip from a machine, vacpot, aeropress, hario pourover,
CCD, Turkish, stove top Bialetti....
What was that too far thing you were asking about?
cheers,
Scott

Chris, Good score! Chemex is my default daily brew method. I hope you enjoy=
 it =
as much as I do mine. Is that coffee stain I see in the photo? If so, a 15 =
minute soak in hot water with some Oxy Clean or similar, followed by a thor=
ough =
(i.e. multiple) rinse will make it sparkle.
