I posted on H-B about 16 months ago asking for a circuit board to give
me BT rate of rise (RoR). A member built me a little circuit board
that work through a DMM. Since then some absolutely amazing
cooperative projects have developed between members of several
homeroasting forums. All being done not for profit. Both on the
hardware and software areas. By the cooperative efforts all kinds of
members(actually a global effort) expertise have been brought together
to continue to make advancements. For those not aware of these efforts
here are a couple links. software,http://www.homeroasters.org/php/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id74&rowstart=0These are the 2 most advanced projects that are now being incorporate.http://www.homeroasters.org/php/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id!42Other hardware like off the shelf Dataloggers and DMM can be used and">http://www.home-barista.com/home-roasting/artisan-beta-roasting-software-available-t16078.html Hardware, http://www.homeroasters.org/php/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id74&rowstart=0These are the 2 most advanced projects that are now being incorporate.http://www.homeroasters.org/php/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id!42Other hardware like off the shelf Dataloggers and DMM can be used and

I've been meaning to check this out some more. I participated slightly in
the rise of rate discussions postulating that you could use an R-C network
(resistor and capacitor) to integrate a voltage to make a simple rate of
rise indication, but some very cool stuff has come out of the collaboration.
Thanks for pointing out these links.
