Topic: Quest and decaf (3 msgs / 42 lines)

My brother and sister-in-law will be visiting me this summer. They only
drink decaf. Believe it or not I have never roasted decaf. I remember
special care had to be taken with decaf in the fluid bed roasters. Is there
anything different I have to do with the Quest to roast decaf vs regular
coffee?

Generally treat it like you would a softer beaner being more gentle
with the maximum amount of heat applied and any charge temp. The
color will appear darker than normal for the same roast level and
nondecaf bean.
