Topic: Abused Gesha (2 msgs / 36 lines)
1) From: Mike Chester
Yesterday, I reported my inadvertent abuse of the last of my Gesha, when my laptop crashed twice during the roast. I tried my best to salvage the beans and finish the roast. Today I tasted the results and was surprised to find that the coffee is still quite drinkable. It did lose a bit of the special Gesha magic, but considering what it went through, it is surprisingly good.

So glad to hear!! Sometimes, beans will amaze me.
Still can't get over this: a couple of years ago I discovered a plastic bag
w/some beans I had roasted. Intended to bring them to a friend, but
completely forgot about them. Man, they had to be a couple of months old.
You know what? I brewed it - and it was delicious! I didn't label it, so I
never knew what bean it was.
Amazing.
Hooray for the Gesha (even w/out the extra-special-ness)!
