I just ordered 20lbs of beans. Anybody have roasting tips or suggestions for
the Kenyan or the Sumatra. The Sumatra is an unusual process, so it will be
an adventure, er Quest?
Kenya Kirinyaga AA Kabingara-5lbs* (happy to get this at nice price)
*Ethiopia Gr. 3 Dry Process Yirga Cheffe - 5 lbs (my all-time favorite
origin/process)*
*El Salvador Finca Siberia Bourbon - 5 lbs* (versatile roasting balanced
crowd-pleaser)
*Sumatra Dry-Hulled Aceh Bukit - 5 lbs *(an adventurous lot I can tinker
with)
I also FINALLY snagged a Fluke 54 II thermometer for use with my QM3. It
will be nice to have the data logging. Too bad it doesn't interface with the
Artisan software. But I got a good deal on it and couldn't pass it up. It
will help me to go back and look at what happened in a roast and adjust my
profiles. I'm still doing 225g roasts mostly.
