Topic: Miele coffee (5 msgs / 100 lines)
1) From: Craig Scoville
Sorry to jump in:) is anyone familiar with a Miele espresso machine? It's
one of those all in one things grinds and all. If so do you know if beans
with a small amount of oily sheen on the bean would affect the grinder in a
bad way?
Help appreciated.

Craig,

Who will be cleaning and adjusting it? Otherwise, I hope they don't make your beans taste bad?! But of course, it will all be relative. If they make your fresh-roasted beans taste bad, then the run-of-the-mill beans will taste REALLY bad.

not a cheap machine but I am sure they need to be cleaned like any other
quality appliance.
if no one does it really makes no difference what beans you dump in...
most office folk could care less from what I have seen over the years.
I have a Solis 5K that is used every day of the week and still works like a
dream.
your question about oily beans, no it will make no difference as long as the
machine is
properly cared for.
