Topic: cleaning burs on Virtuoso (3 msgs / 48 lines)

I don't understand the use of rice or cleaning products on a Virtuoso; I
have one, and it's easy enough to remove the burs to clean, that it seems a
waste of time to do other than that.

The use of instant rice will remove the oils left by the ground coffee not
only on the burrs but on the entire pathway the beans take through grinding
and dosing. Oils left in the grinder will eventually turn rancid and ruin
the end product.

Now that makes perfect sense, Thanks.
I guess instant rice is going on my shopping list.
