Hi All,
Happy Holiday's and New Year.
This question has come up and I am curious about any cupper's here who may
have
a nod one way or the other in terms of shifting the grounds.
thanks in advance,
ginny

It's kinda like riding a bicycle. Some like to start with there left foot,
some like to just jump on and not use the peddles at all. Some even get on
from the other side of the bike.
For me I just clear the grounds in the way I learned so I'm not slurping
too much big stuff. There is a good reason other than over caffination why
you spit after each cup taste.
Can't always get all the grounds out, but you always get what you need.

I often sift grounds with a very fine screen for various brew methods and
it does increase cup quality, making a smoother and less bitter cup.
However, I don't do it for an actual cupping. As others have said, it is
really helpful for FP.
