Topic: Kantan drip brewer amount? (4 msgs / 73 lines)
1) From: Steven Van Dyke
Quick question: what's considered the 'normal' amount of coffee for
those clever little disposable Kantan drip brewers? Got some so I
can have a cup of coffee when I get to work.
Thanks!

Kantan's distributor recommends using 14-16 grams of coffee, yielding 8-10
oz (235-300 mL).

Thanks Byron!
Seems like a lot to get into it but I'll give it a shot. Yesterday's
tests with around 8 grams were good but I need to coarsen my grind
more - kept stalling.

It's tough to use more than 16 grams or else it tends to overflow
when you are pouring in the water. I have had good results with a
fairly fine grind, and 16 grams
