Topic: Fwd: Vac-Pot Temp (2 msgs / 34 lines)
1) From: Jeffrey Kelly
I'm reading with interest as I'm thinking of buying a vac pot to try. Just wondering if it would be better to start with a cloth filter and graduate to a glass rod in time or learn with glass rod from the onset. Pros...cons?

As another point (and now I wonder if everyone's experience is the
same), glass rods make a "dirtier" coffee in my opinion. There is
sediment, not a lot, but some, and with the cloth filter there is none.
Since you get a cloth filter with your pot usually I would say order a
glass rod at the same time so you can compare them. The rods are pretty
inexpensive.
