Checked me email this morning and had an email from Behmor announcing their new BREWER, with temp control and pre-soak function.Check out this link for featureshttp://library.constantcontact.com/download/get/file/1109644114759-8/Behmor+Brazen+Features+Data+4.17.12.pdfSounds pretty stinking cool.I wonder if Sweet Marias, being a behmor roaster carrier, might carry this as well?

I just came from the show and spoke with Joe B. Nice little unit. Coffee
tasted good. ( would taste better with my roast in it. ) ;^). I would not
doubt that Tom will carry this unit. Joe is shooting for best of show. I'm
voting for his unit. I like as much or more than his roaster. This is the
first unit to have precise control over the brew temp. Not to mention it
adjusts to your altitude as well.

Looks fascinating. Perhaps I missed it, but any info on production/sales ti=
ming? I put in an inquiry at the Behmor site, but wondering if anyone here =
or at the show knows more info.
Thanks.

Anyone check out the new Bunn Trifecta Home brewer at SCAA? They told me
the price point will probably be $599. Very interesting concept though.
Also talked to Micheal at the Hottop booth. He said the proposed one pound
roaster is still in the concept stage. He said its a family-run business
and like many family businesses, there are issues! It's been a great show
including US Barista events!

Just read your email. My immediate reaction: Holy #!@$%*(*@#!!
Is this for real??? Six hundred buck for a home brewer?? And it doesn't
even make espresso?
For that price, it sure better clean my windows, too...

I, too, had in mind something else it should do for six hundred bucks. :-)
:-) :-)
All kidding aside, $600 is a price point that is sometimes called the
"valley of death". The theory is that for married people (or POOSSLQs or
POSSSLQs) there is a price point such that below that point one person can
make a decision without consulting the other person -- and above that price
point it becomes a "I have to talk it over with my spouse" decision. Once
it becomes a "couples" decision, a different dynamic and rationale enter the
decision making process.
For most, $600 is in the "I have to talk it over with my spouse" territory,
and it can shoot down the purchase decisions.
