http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2012/07/coffee-and-bacon-infused-vodka/I love bacon, and obviously I'm a homeroast coffee nut or I wouldn't be
here... but putting these together in a vodka drink... I.. don't... know...

There's a brewery/u-brew place in Portland (OR) that just put a bacon beer on tap. They say they added bacon to the keg. Haven't tried it and don't plan to, but have this mental image of a greasy head on a pint of mediocre beer. Sounds really gross. I think I'll keep my bacon separate from the alcohol and as a side dish for coffee (as in at breakfast).

I totally agree!! The first photo in this link looked as though the bacon
was raw... ew!! And I know its popular with some, but the 'chocolate
covered bacon' craze just doesn't seem right to me, either. There are some
things I adore but need to keep separate... sort of like some members of my
family... sigh... ;-)

Ouch, righ to the keg? I can see where you would not be ready to
down a pint of that. I recall another where they infused the beer
'in line' with a pressurize keg of bacon, but the bacon and beer
never touched. The result was this fantastic hickory smoked bacon
lager. Sort of like many smoked beers but with something more, but
not cloying or greasy. Actually, very tasty.
