David Lebovitz shared this link on Facebook:http://www.psfk.com/2012/07/edible-coffee-cup.htmlI won't say that this is the* weirdest* idea ever put forth in connection
w/coffee... I guess this all depends on the quality of the 'cup'...
This reminds me about *way* back, when I used to seek out huge bags of
Lavazza, as it was the best I could find... then I started roasting my
own... maybe we could bake our own edible cups, too? :D
Hahaha - this would prove that I truly have too much time on my hands...

Hi Lynne,
As a baker, you will appreciate this, it reminds me of the time I forgot to
add eggs to the cupcake batter. They made perfect little cups. They
tasted great. We filled them with ice cream and ate them like cones. But
for coffee or espresso, it looks like they have a super hard sugar coating
that doesn't melt from the hot liquid that keeps the outside of the cup
from getting soggy. I imagine they have to drink it fairly quickly!
Thanks for the laughs!

Haha! Yes, I do appreciate this - you are truly a lemonade gal! It sounds
delicious - this is the sort of mistake that becomes family favorites in my
house. Yes, that photo in the link looks like there is a hard shell to keep
the coffee/espresso from soaking through.
Beats what my daughter did when she was first learning to bake (teen or
preteen days). She added salt instead of sugar. But then again, this was
the girl who made me a sandwich to make me feel better when I was sick,
when she was a toddler. Peanut butter and pickles. Up until recently, she
thought I really ate it (I was that clever, haha)!
