Topic: Why I seldom post anymore > RE: Leaking around my (6 msgs / 725 lines)

Replied Friday 7am and it finally shows up Monday 3:30pm. My posts have been
like this for going on a year now. Makes the List worthless for any
meaningful communication. Know my posts aren't the only ones never arriving
in a timely manner.
Bummer, the List used to be such a lively fun coffee communication
tool...but I usually just think why bother replying - won't show up for days
anyway.

Hi Mike and everybody else,
I thought you had either found your nirvana or you were roasting so much
coffee that you didn't have time to roast.
Sent approximately Tuesday 1pm eastern time.

Mike,
I've seen this on other discussion lists. Such delays usually comes from
screening and policing the list and posts. I.e., you get a mini-batch of
emails coming all at once when they are ok'd by the list's moderator. Too
bad as it's frustrating for subscribers. I do see the number of posts and
participants dropping off significantly. In it s heyday, it had to be a
good promotional tool.

Hi miKe,
I don't know why it happened but most of the posts ended up in my spam
folder since August 11. I received four posts in total until checking my
spam folder today. There were about 80 messages there from this list.
Your issues may arise from email and not SM's. I don't know for sure as I'm
not a real techie.

Oh I understand the screening and delay crap. But gee, I've only been a list
member using the same email addy for the list over a decade. It's only been
the last year or so my messages don't (usually) go through in a timely
manner. Once upon a time they were virtually instantaneous and we'd carry on
virtually "real time" conversations on the List...
Be interesting to see how long this reply takes.

Mike, your messages seem to have consistently come to my mailbox within
a few minutes, always unless I had a problem at my end, which happened
twice over many years. Arbat th;ose times, all my mail was affected not
just this list.
Hope you're well.
Barbara
