I gave up Iroast few years ago (volume was an issue for me), and moved to
Behmor - Very , very , very happy with that!!
No issues at all, support is marvelous, just good things

+1. Although it worked well, I gave up the iRoast because of capacity, noise and smoke (it often set off the smoke detector). I moved to the Behmor a few years ago and have been very pleased with the roasts.

The natural progression has seemed to be to the Behmor after the other
entry level methods. Then on to The Hot Top and Quest.

How can nobody have mentioned the SC/TO? What has become of this list? Are
all the DIY folks retired?
I usd a SC/TO for a couple of years after the iRoast. It worked fine and
batch size was not an issue. I eventually gave up after burning out one TO
and getting tired of not getting the mixing I wanted. I needed to modify
the stirring arms (again) to get better bean agitation and less scorching.
Insteand I switched to a Hottop and have never regretted it.
Next step, now that's a whole nother thread.
