This type of grinder is known (and eschewed) for it's uneven grind.  This
may be why "nobody" assumed you'd use it.   You'd have to figure out a way
to keep the uneven particles from heating up at different rates.  Chunks
will be under-roasted while tiny pieces will burn as soon as they hit the
pan.  If you think this idea has merit and you can work out the details, go
for it and let us know how it comes out.  Don't think we'll forget, either.
Weeks from now someone will surely bring it up and wonder about it.  This is
not a group given to dismissing new ideas out of hand--not so long ago,
someone who's name I won't mention had the idea of soaking his greens,
giving Tom apoplexy.  The idea generated friendly, if not serious interest.
I hope you've noticed that those who replied thought about your idea enough
to point out specific challenges that would have to be overcome to make it
work, and all have encouraged you to try it.  We are usually a pretty nice
bunch, as long as posts don't include HTML.....  (poke, poke)
