Four months 29 days from order/payment and the re-shipment finally made it! 4# of the no longer lost St. Helena. Good things come to those who wait, and take a chance... Will I order direct from St. Helena again? Probably... unless Tom manages to carry it. There are a lot of great coffees out there but nothing quite like St. Helena, IMO. Possibly the ultimate coffee for dessert or special occasion... MM;-) Home Roasting in Vancouver, WA USA homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast
Mike, I am still waiting for two pounds of mine to arrive! Les

From: "Penelope" <Snip> No problem, just send me a SASE and I'll get right to it. BTW, St. Helena ships slow so you'll probably see it around November... MM;-) Home Roasting in Vancouver, WA USA homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast
111 days and counting waiting on my 4#s...sigh Gary
Mike, How about a taste test report when you get around to it? Maybe that will provide some comfort and hope to those of us who still wait :o) Gary
It's grassy tasting - and has picked up a tinge of diesel fuel - probably from the leak hull of the ship. OK OK I'm just being sour grapes here! There are a bunch of us who didn't even get in the queue
John, John,John Your in TX, behave! Remember, TX is the FRIENDSHIP state.......
Tonya, I am so ashamed! I let my covetousness overcome me. Then I had to lie about the condition of the beans. That's two commandments shattered in one act, not even getting into the friendship issues. I try had to love Mike and the rest of the list, but they have cost me a fortune trying to keep a step ahead with the coffee paraphernalia and my pride is taking a beating - Opps there goes another shattered commandment. I beginning to think that a couple of these guys are actually laundering drug money and...oh another? Well you see this isn't going to work. I guess I'll just go make a Cafe Crema and plot,.. I mean figure out how I can get some of that good stuff - beans I mean. John - who can see Mexico from my roof-top.
From: "Gary White" <Snip> I believe Les has already done a St Helena taste test. He's the first I knew of to get his greens. I don't know if he roasted some of all 4 in one session or not. I don't think I'm going to. It'd use up too much of a limited hard to get 'stash'! Even reducing my usual 1/3# batch to 1/4# batches would use up 25% of it. No cup to cup this time... sorry.
