Topic: Thanks! (8 msgs / 155 lines)
1) From: JB Christy
I just want to say a quick thanks to everyone who responded so warmly and
graciously to my post yesterday regarding gender and conversational dynamics. I
knew there were alot of people on the list who wanted to welcome and encourage
participation, but I was actually a bit surprised by how many positive responses
I've received, both on list and off. Many thanks to you all.

Thanks for the great thoughts all. I'm home and feeling a lot
stronger. I'm not over this mess but they did a good job of giving me
back some energy. Got home and realized that I had left the Press Pot
in the room. I called to tell the nurses station that I had left it.
They already had it at the nursing station. One of the male nurses
lives about 2.5 miles from here - and he brought it by when his shift
ended tonight. GREAT PEOPLE! The guy had an espresso from the SM5K
and asked me to bring that if I ever have to come back. I sent him
home with 1/2 pound of Kona as a thanks.
I listened to a special on the Dalai Lama's book The Art of Happiness.
I think he could add a chapter on coffee :o) It has certainly been
a bridge for me.
Tomorrow will see the return of the Roasting Fool! I'm just about out of roast.

Welcome back John, glad to hear your feeling better. Pace yourself! You don't want to end up back in the hospital to quickly! Sue

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
To all who responded offlist to my email I thank you very much! Everything
seems to be operating normally. I was performing some minor upgrades to my
email server over the weekend and in the time it was down I didn't know if
the bounced posts had delisted me. Thanks again and have a great evening.

Thanks to all for the pros and cons of the technivorm. Seems the pros
outweigh, and that I should eventually get a Chemex. For now, think I will
go with the bigger capacity glass TV, and a swissgold.
As for the thermos to take to work . . . It seems the nissans are what folks
here like? No? Are there others that are practical but do the trick?
Again, I don't want to have to drop a mint on one, but my thermos just is
not doing it for me anymore ....
And, yes - as a lurker for almost a year now, this list is indeed
sociologically fascinating. I may even have to come back to ask everyone's
"OK" to quote from it if I do decide to write something about this here
koffee kulture thang!
Thanks again for all the helpful replies. I love this list.

Hmm.... not sure I want to be "sociologically fascinating". It seems to
imply a high degree of abnormality or dysfunctionality.
Oh. Never mind.
Thanks again for all the helpful replies. I love this list.
