Right there with ya, Dan. I put in my two bits for some Berlina, along with a resupply of Ethiopian Ghimbi decaf and a pound of St. H. Side-by-side taste test should be fun. Paul doing side-by-side tasting with a Monkey/Donkey blend (excellent bittersweets!) and a Guatemalan Huehue/Peru decaf blend (much sweeter). Do You Yahoo!? Sign up for SBC Yahoo! OK - Stop it you guys! I'm NOT going to order any Berlina! I'm going to have to come out of retirement to pay for all the greens I've ordered in = the past three weeks (plus a new top for the Cona). What we have here is a Success in Communications - I need to find the failure mode while I still have some money left. I'll just be content with the Kona, CRLM, St. Hele= na, Miel, Huehuetenango et al that I've received this month!! Now find something else to talk about! John - excuse the mess my mail is in. I'm still setting it up. -- |
Darn it. I just got my Berlina in and I was going to brag all about it. However in deference to you John, I'll abstain. Now to go taste it.. Hope it is as good as it smells..(*chuckle*) Glenn John - In Deep Southern Texas wrote: <Snip> homeroast mailing listhttp://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/listinfo/homeroast |
Tsk-tsk-tsk John. Panama LaBerlina really IS great! Best of the 3 Panamas Tom currently has by a hair. As good in a different taste as the best CR or Kona. Glenn, Yes out of consideration for John don't brag about receiving it. But be sure and brag about how wonderful your first cup is!! I tried the Honduras and the Zimbabwe today- great coffee's! I am going to try the Columbian Peaberry right now, and in a little while go back to an old favorite I just roasted- Zambia. Scott |
Mike,
Friends don't let friends order when they are over budget! And I'm not
about to go for that line about it being as good as CRLM! I know better
than that! We're out of storage, Carolyn is out of patience and I'm out of
luck. I have more greens now than I can possibly roast this year. My
daughter sent me a couple of pounds of CR Miel last week to go along with
the 1/2 ton that I already have. I might have trouble proving that I'm not
a commercial roaster if anyone could see this place.
I've run into a slight hiccup with my FoodSaver bags. I waited two days
to vacuum seal the roasts, but they are beginning to inflate a bit. Enough
that I'm considering opening and resealing them. Have you run into this?
John - not going to do it - not going to do it - maybe not!

Hey John. Something else to talk about? Well I have had my eye or, more appropriately, my taste buds, targetting those 2 new Kenyans that Tom just got in. Then there's a nice new Yemen Hmmm, then there's .................. Ah ha! Wendy's gone out, I can sneak an order in to Tom before she comes back. Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha...!
