No, he was at home this morning. I'm new to the list and was glad to
see some activity. I tried to subscribe again and it said I was subscribe=
d.
I'm one of John's converts that he uses to test his coffee.

I do not blame you for testing this site -- it is unusually quiet today.
As you know, the US government was monitoring a series of electronic attacks
launched early Tuesday against U.S. Internet providers, hours after European
authorities passed warnings to the Federal Bureau of Investigation
predicting the attacks. However, the impact from the attacks appeared
limited, and there were no reports of outages or even delayed e-mails.
But unlike some recent so-called "denial of service" attacks, which employed
hundreds or thousands of computers to overwhelm Web sites, this latest
attack appeared to be coming from a relatively small number of machines, the
official said. That has allowed Internet providers to protect their networks
more easily by filtering sent data from the attacking computers.
Thus I do not understand why the quiet on this coffee site.
Cheers, Lubos

I think that John has had so much coffee now that he cannot stop his hands

I think he loves the Hottop so much, he has stopped all posting in a effort
to corner the market before the news gets out! 2 out of 3 known Hottops are
down there in Texas already! :)

If you're really missing the traffic, Charlie, we could take up the plain
text vs. HTML argument again...

Don't you wish! But I don't know why you like that
particular fight. Checking the archives I noticed that
you were not one of the html posters. Now that Yahoo
changed it's format(very timely, I must say.)I don't
have to worry about whether or not I'm sending
jibberish to the digest listers. You promised not to
post on this anymore(although, of course, you "could")

Good idea Rick! :) Actually I rather enjoyed reading it, but only because
of the amount of information I learned about computers- a lot of it was over
my head but fascinating none the less.
