The Kenya I brewed this evening
was out of this world. Totally unexpected taste. It was sweet, smooth,
lingering...totally satisfying. A Kenya? Not what I expected,
Ed,
I wonder if this was the Karani or the Karumandi, I tried the latter & it
was outstanding, I ordered more beans.

I guess I'll need to try the Karumandi too. Everything is different with the
drum roaster.

I've been drinking Kenya all week. Some of last years Gichugu and Gakui,
and some of this years Karani.
I really, really wanted to like the Karani, but I^H my friend swears it
tastes like bong-water smells. Did anybody else notice that?

can't say i sensed that in the karani, however, my colleague and i swear
that the lake tawar triple pick had strong cannabis notes in it.

Maybe we should change our logo from "Brave the smoke" to "Homeroasters-High
on Smoke, buzzed on Caffine" :)
Scott- "triple pick" 3x the fun, all natural ingredients!

I may have to take up the bong if that is true . Drum roasted about 15
seconds into second crack and it is heaven for me. I shared a pound with my
brother and he was beside himself with the incredible flavor and aroma. I
also gave him some Panama Boquete -Finca La Berlina and he said he really
enjoyed it after getting past the first sip, which he said was not what he
expected. He said it got better and better as he sipped. I do like the
Kenya Karani better.
