Could work, but I don't think it'd be worth the extra effort, to me.
I was just thinking that if you were making up, say, seven individual

I always make up a variety of different coffees of the 1oz pre-ground vac
coffee packs for Debi to take to work for her 4cupper. If they were linked
she'd then have to cut them apart while removing them from her freezer at
work... I'll probably not persue the linked packet idea. BTW, for these 1oz
grind packets I cut about 4" off an 11" wide role - seal on end length wise,
then cut in thirds for 3 small pouches, seal the sides of the pouches
leaving the small top open, grind an oz into the Maestro bin, dump the bin
into the pouch, vac and seal and into the freezer. I find it's easier to
label the top of the pouch before sealing while it's flat than after filing
with grinds and sealing. I used a fine point Sharpie permanent marker for
this. These same 1oz pouches are perfect for out of town business trip Hotel
4cup coffee pots... I make bigger pouches for the 2.5oz 10cupper size I take
for my monthly staff meetings at my work...

You're the second person to mention that. Do you have any trouble sealing
across the seal you made down (what's now) the side?

Not at all. (The FoodSaver method of sealing the bags is simply heat &
pressure.)
On an OT note I sealed up 8-1oz mixed nut packets and 30 2 cookies each
packets in preparation for 9 days at the Washington State International Kite
Festival. Leaving next Sunday. (all the mixed nuts left in the vac sealed
canister... I baked the cookies today, hard cooled in the freezer for about
15min, then vac manual sealing before 'smushing' them.) And OT, I'll roast
coffee for the trip towards the end of the week. Plan on taking about a
dozen pint jars each vac'd with different beans and our old Deluxe Foodsaver
(still works just fine.) Silvia will be staying home. Just French Press and
eVac brewing for a whole 9 days! Did the same thing for a Spring beach trip
this year and a long weekend in SunRiver... Bring the Solis Maestro too.

I know that! But when I tried sealing across another seal, I had a hard
time getting a complete vacuum. I had to hit the manual seal button. It
was like there was a little bit of leak right where the old seal was being
crossed.
