I made up small bags of ground coffee to take with us to Hawaii last
November. One bag made it round trip and is still in the freezer, still
vac'd solid. Thought for 'fun' to see how it tastes after a year vac'd, a
day+ room temp airlined etc. and the rest of the time frozen.... (Panama
Maunier 01)

I made up several small bags, including some 1 cup bags, and one pot bags,
2x2 & 4X4 I sealed them on the Seal only setting. I then filled them with
roasted beans I checked them today after work about 36 hrs. later (no leaks)

I know that! But when I tried sealing across another seal, I had a hard
time getting a complete vacuum. I had to hit the manual seal button. It
was like there was a little bit of leak right where the old seal was being
  crossed.

I will impatiently await the results of this experiment. You must have saved
a batch of the green from that batch too, so you can compare it to fresh
roast, right? Anyone have a few ounces of Panama Maunier '01 to send Mike,
just in case?

Actually yes, I have some Pan Maunier 01 greens left (vac sealed of course!)
This was an unintentional experiment. Just some left from the trip. I doubt
the pre-ground will hold up well that long. Who knows, will find out soon!
Even 10 months would be one heck of a test... We're leaving next weekend for
9 days at the coast for Kite Festival, maybe when we get back.
