Topic: Food Grade Nitrogen Source (23 lines)
1) From: Eric B. Stauffer
Just recently found my way to the list and glad I have. I'm still waiting on
the arrival of my Poppery Mark I (purchased on eBay for $15) so I spend my
time reading and learning as much as possible.
As for the nitrogen mentioned, you can readily source small volumes of this
wherever wine supplies are sold. The brand is called "Private Reserve". Go
to the Wine Enthusiast website at www.wineenthusiast.com and do a
text/keyword search on "preserve". It's not cheap.
Additionally, you can call your local industrial gasses place. Most dispense
food grade nitrogen used in beer dispensing equipment.
Just FYI -- to refill a 20lb. cylinder costs me $46 for a 75/25 nitrogen/C02
blend (for use in my beer cooler). They do dispense pure nitrogen. I will
price it next week.
