That makes the assumption that we want to stop drinking coffee and that
coffee drinking is something we 'shouldn't' do. Nothing could be further
from the truth! ;) Dan

Eric,
C.S.A. stands for Coffee Snobs of America (and regions beyond!) There are
many membership "requirements." Mike McGuinness wrote a "12 step" plus one
program for the club, and we have a theme song, and many other fun things.
Most of all CSA is for fun. I have made some CSA tampers for folks. In my
opinion the most important qualification for membership is that you roast,
brew and drink your coffee the way YOU want to and the heck with everyone
else. This leads to two things that make CSA important. First, we are free
to experiment with our coffee. Second we can share our discoveries with the
group without fear of reprisal because of course we did it our way!

With Mr. McGuinness' 12 Step program being adopted, could then you not assume
that CSA would stand for Coffee Snobs Annonymous? Works across all borders
and boundries - and it would appear that CSA is never to be confused with
Coffee Scouts of America.

That's pretty much what I thought it stood for. My only complaint about
CSA membership (I have on my virtual pledge pin) is that I find myself
wanting to drink coffee becuase it's so dman good! I have a desire to
roast almost nighty becuase it's fun. Help me!!

I am sorry Eric,
You are going to have to find Mike M's 12 step plus one program in the
archives and print it off for yourself. You are a member simply by
completing the 1st step and that is the confession you made in this post!
